We're less than a week out from the release of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and we're here to pound it into your skull that there are pre-order discounts available. Now until next Tuesday, August 23rd's launch date - there are discounts and bonus offers available for PC and console versions alike. You can even find a price break on the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Deluxe Edition.

The best deal on the aforementioned Digital Deluxe (which comes bundle with the Season Pass) is an easy peasy 25% off for the Steam key over at GMG. Just create or log into an account and the discount will be reflected before you checkout. For PC Standard Edition, your discount varies from a pittance 17% off, all the way up to a high 30% off discount (which usually disappears a few days before release). Console gamers have options of gift card bonuses with free second day shipping, or for those with Prime and GCU, a straight up 20% off on the latest Deus Ex.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Deals

PC Standard and Deluxe Deals

Updated for release week. Login required at GMG to see final discount price.

As of writing there are three current good options for the PC platform. GMG, DLGamer, and FunStock Digital are all offering discounts up to 30% off for the Standard Edition. All are authorized retailers, so you'll get the same pre-order bonuses that you'll find on Steam Store paying the full $59.99 list price (re: you shouldn't pay full price for the same product).

GMG is the only retailer that appears to be pulling off a similar 25% discount on the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, so if you're into getting the Season Pass on Day 1 at a discount, GMG is your only option at this point. Thankfully the drop from $90 to $67.49 on the Deluxe is a significant enough dollar amount to justify bumping up your purchase to the Deluxe for those of you that are big time Deus Ex fans.

Console Standard Deals

There's also three ways to get a good deal on the console version of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. If you go purely by the numbers, the best deal is Dell who is offering a $25 eGift Card bonus, which if you think about it is worth 40% the value of the game itself. Dell's offer is the only way to get a deal without having a paid membership. If you're willing to shell out $30 for 2 years of Best Buy's Gamers Club Unlocked or $100 a year for Amazon's Prime you'll get the 20% discount. Those paid memberships will add up over time if you buy a lot of games as they come out, but we wouldn't recommend it just for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided alone.

You may have noticed we didn't mention any console Deluxe Edition deals above, well there's a reason for that. The Deluxe is available for all platforms, but is purely a digital purchase. There is currently no way to get it in physical form and so Best Buy doesn't even offer the Deluxe while Amazon will offer to sell you a digital code for the full $90 list price (no 20% discount even with Prime). There is a more expensive $140 Collector's Edition available at Amazon and Best Buy ($119 after 20% membership discount) but be warned this Collector's Edition does not include the Season Pass, which the Deluxe Edition does.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Deluxe vs Standard

As you may be able to make out from the promo banner above, pre-order bonuses includes eight digital extras. Three of these bonuses are skin packs: the Intruder, Enforcer, and Classic Gear sets. One is an extra in-game mission “Desperate Measures”. The other four are more or less for those wanting to geek out on Deus Ex material with the bonuses being a digital artbook, soundtrack, comic book, and novella.

The Deluxe comes with all this and the Season Pass. We'll be honest, the Season Pass is a nearly a blind purchase at this point. If you trust the developer and lore of Deus Ex, it may be worthwhile to combine the discount. But all the details we have are in this one sentence: "[The Season Pass] is composed of Narrative DLCs and in-game items, is loaded with content that will help to further flesh out the lore of the Deus Ex Universe".

If you must have everything Deus Ex: Mankind Divided you can at the very least get a discount (for PC gamers anyway). If you want to justify the Season Pass purchase there is actually a trend in gaming to keep a tight lid on Season Pass discounts - as was the case with Fallout 4, Star Wars: Battlefront, and Batman: Arkham Knight. If you've been enjoying Deus Ex since the Ion Storm days - and Deus Ex: Human Revolution was exactly what you were looking for - then the additional content will be well worth it.

Developed by Edios Montreal and published by Square Enix, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be released on August 23rd worldwide on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
