We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of June 10th.

It's been quite the week for Destiny fans, as developer Bungie finally pulled lid off its next expansion. Dubbed Rise of Iron, this kickoff DLC for Year 3 will see Destiny players aligning with Lord Saladin, the last of the Iron Lords, to take down a mounting Fallen threat. As expected, the new expansion will include a new story, new missions, new strikes, new gear, and most importantly a new raid.

However, with the launch of Destiny:Rise of Iron comes some bad news for PS3 and Xbox 360 players. Starting in August, Destiny will no longer support last-gen consoles in the same capacity it had been, effectively splitting the two consoles for good. That doesn't mean last-gen Destiny players will be left completely in the dust; we fully expect some support to still continue on PS3 and Xbox 360, just not in terms of new content.

Hopefully, at the very least, Xur continues to visit last-gen Destiny players, so they have something too look forward to every weekend. The exotic vendor may not have new exotics for sale, but perhaps he might start selling rarer exotics in an effort to keep those players satisfied.

As for this weekend, Xur can be found in the Tower's hangar, which is off to the right of the spawn point. Head to the right after spawning in, follow the long hallway past the Cryptarch, and Xur should be immediately to the right as you enter the hangar. If you see the Dead Orbit vendor then you have gone too far.

For armor this week, Xur has the Glasshouse helmet for Titans, the Don't Touch Me gauntlets for Hunters, and The Ram helmet for Warlocks. All three are solid options for their respective classes, in both PvE and PvP scenarios. Our personal pick if players can only pick one is The Ram, which adds a little more survivability to Warlocks in all encounters.

On the weapon front, Xur has the Red Death pulse rifle for sale, an old standard for the exotic merchant and Agent of the Nine. At many points in time throughout Destiny's lifespan, Red Death has been a top tier weapon of choice, especially during the Crota's End raid days, but it has since fallen off some. The recent pulse rifle nerf essentially made Red Death far less viable then it had been, but still the ability to start health regen with a kill is hard to pass up.

For a full rundown of Xur’s items and prices see the list below:

  • The Glasshouse (Titan Helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
