Xur has returned to the tower for the weekend of February 20th, and for the first time in what feels like a long time he has given all Destiny players reason to celebrate. You can probably already guess where this is going, but read on for full details on Xur's exotic selection and location.

This week, Xur can be found next to the Crucible Quartermaster in the Tower. Just head straight down the stairs after spawning in, and it shouldn't be too hard to find him. But, if you need a little extra direction, try looking to the left.

While Xur's actual exotic selection is rather disappointing, we are happy to report that the Agent of the Nine finally has heavy ammo synthesis for Destiny players to buy. It's been over a month since the last time he has offered the consumable, so we'd recommend players stock up in case synthesis become rare again.

Xur's Exotic Selection

In case anyone is curious, Xur's armor selection includes some familiar items, including the Crest of Alpha Lupi, the Radiant Dance Machines, and the Voidfang Vestments. Chances are players have already acquired these pieces - Xur has sold each at least one time previously - but if you haven't they are not bad options. The good news is that if there are any Warlocks out there looking for the Heart of Praxic Fire, Xur has a chest armor engram for sale for 23 motes of light. So, spend away and hope that the RNG works in your favor.

Destiny Xur Exotic Selection Feb 20

However, since Xur has a twisted sense of humor, he has tempered the enthusiasm for heavy ammo synthesis by offering No Land Beyond as his exotic weapon. It actually seems that we have happened upon a pattern: Xur sells the excellent Ice Breaker sniper rifle and then the terrible No Land Beyond. Add it to your exotic selection if you need to, but don't ever use this as a weapon.

For a full rundown of Xur’s items and prices see the list below:

  • Crest of Alpha Lupi (Titan Chest Armor) – 13 Strange Coins
  • Radiant Dance Machines (Hunter Boots) – 13 Strange Coins
  • Voidfang Vestments (Warlock Chest Armor) – 13 Strange Coins
  • No Land Beyond (Sniper Rifle) – 17 Strange Coins
  • Exotic Shard – 7 Strange Coins
  • Exotic Chest Engram - 23 Motes of Light

Exotic Upgrades

There's nothing too spectacular in Xur's exotic upgrade selection, although he does have the An Insurmountable Skullfort Titan helmet, which lets players regenerate health any time they pick up an orb. It might seem like a useless ability, but is extremely helpful during the Crota's End raid on hard.

  • Knucklehead Radar
  • Achlyophage Symbiote
  • An Insurmountable Skullfort
  • Crest of Alpha Lupi
  • Voidfang Vestments
  • Sunbreakers
  • Hard Light
  • Bad Juju
  • MIDA Multi-Tool
  • The Last Word
  • Invective
  • Plan C
  • Monte Carlo

Overall, this week will go down as a win for Xur fans, if only because he finally offered heavy ammo synthesis. Yes, the piles of heavy ammo synthesis waiting in our vaults will soon be rendered less useful after Bungie fixes the heavy ammo bug, but for now it's good to have them.

What do you hope Xur sells next week? Do you think he will ever sell heavy ammo again?
