We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of August 26th.

With only a few weeks left until the launch of Rise of Iron, excitement among Destiny fans has become palpable. It seems like every few days a new piece of information comes out to tease fans just that much more, like the reveal that Trials of Osiris will be going on break early next month, before returning on the 30th.

There have also been closer looks at new Rise of Iron for Destiny fans to analyze, as they try to figure out which to set their sights on. Obviously, the Wrath of the Machine raid gear will be one of the most sought after sets, but the Iron Lord and Trials gear doesn't look too bad either.

We would also be remiss for not mentioning this weekend's Destiny Community Convention, which will take place in Tampa, Florida. There, a couple thousand Destiny fans will share in the community and take part in some pretty cool events. The event is also helping raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and thus far the total earned has eclipsed the $500,000 mark.

Speaking of making bank, Xur has returned to the Tower for his weekly sale. Those who are eager to see what exotic armor and weapons the Agent of the Nine has for sale can find Xur in the Northern part of the Tower, across from The Speaker. Head to left after spawning in, follow the long hallway down a few sets of stairs, and once in the open area Xur should be on the right hand side.

destiny xur exotic armor weapon aug 26

For exotic armor this week Xur has the Empyrean Bellicose helmet for Titans, the Graviton Forfeit helmet for Hunters, and the Nothing Manacles gauntlets for Warlocks. All three exotic armor pieces are worth picking up, but they are all three pretty situational. The Bellicose, for example, supports a very specific type of play style in PvP and is only really useful in PvE when the 'Airborne' modifier is active. Graviton Forfeit, on the other hand, can always suit a Nightstalker Hunter, offering them the Shadestep ability for free.

Xur's exotic weapon this weekend is the Universal Remote, a shotgun primary that has been tearing up PvP matches on a regular basis. Since making the jump forward in Year 2, Universal Remote has become arguably too prevalent in matches, and we wouldn't be surprised to see the weapon nerfed slightly in Year 3. But we won't fault any who use it now, as the weapon is quite good.
