We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of August 12th.

Since Game Informer's cover reveal for Destiny: Rise of Iron there has been a steady drip of content for fans to enjoy. From new details about the Rise of Iron social space to confirmation that two beloved weapons will be returning as exotics, the Destiny newsphere has been nothing short of consistent and we expect that to continue throughout the month.

In fact, later this month Bungie will host a series of livestreams at Gamescom in which the developer will reveal new multiplayer content. It is expected that Bungie will give Destiny players a closer look at the new Supremacy mode - which reportedly plays like the 'Kill Confirmed' mode in Call of Duty - and reveal something special for diehard fans. That something special is rumored to be private matches - something that Destiny players have been requesting for quite some time now.

Outside of the Rise of Iron news drip, Xur has returned to The Tower to offer players another shot at his exotic wares. As with any Xur appearance so deep into an annual cycle, there isn't much to surprise or entice players at this point, but those who are new to Destiny might find something worthwhile among Xur's selection.

First up, players can find Xur in one of his favorite spots as of late, across from the Speaker. This is actually a slightly closer spot than last week, but is on the same path. Head to the left after spawning in, follow the pathway down the long hallway and few sets of stairs, and Xur should be on the right hand side next to the large circular door.

For exotic armor, this week Xur has the Taikonaut helmet for Titans, which adds tracking to any rocket launcher; the Young Ahamkara's Spine gauntlets for Hunters, which add an extra Tripmine charge to Gunslinger hunters; and the Starfire Protocol chest piece for Warlocks, which gives Sunsingers an extra fusion grenade.

On the weapon front, Xur has Super Good Advice for sale, a heavy machine gun that is best used against bosses with easy to hit weak points. Basically, as long as Super Good Advice consistently lands, it has a chance to replenish ammo from the player's reserves and let them serve up a heavy dose of firepower.
