We have the early scoop on where to find the vendor Xur and what exotic armor and weapons he has available to Destiny players for the weekend of April 29th.

This week marked the launch of another Iron Banner event for Destiny, the first since the launch of the April Update earlier this month. As always, Bungie promised a few tweaks to the way Iron Banner would work, with the biggest change being an improvement to drops. Now, players can earn Iron Banner gear in their very first match and it has a chance to be the new 335 light level. Iron Banner has been a solid source for new gear in the past but this week it's delivering infusion fodder in droves and players seem to be responding well to the event.

Outside of Iron Banner, Bungie also announced plans for their next Destiny patch, which should go live within the next two weeks. The developers say that the update will address some outlying bugs with rewards and missions, but the main target is a consistency issue with melee in the game. According to Bungie, melees have not always registered properly in-game, and the developers want to improve that.

While Destiny players will have to wait until May 10th to see their melees get a buff, the wait is over for the return of Xur, the weekend exotic vendor.

This week, Xur can be found in the Tower next to the Crucible Quartermaster. After spawning into the Tower head straight and underneath the tunnel, pass around by Eris Morn, and Xur should be on the left hand side.

For armor, this week is a big one for Titans with the arrival of Twilight Garrison. One of the new exotic armor pieces added for Year 2, Twilight Garrison has been on nearly every player's wish list - those that weren't lucky enough to get it from a drop. And finally Xur has it for sale, which means the Crucible is going to be host to a lot of flying Titans this weekend.

In addition to the Twilight Garrision, Xur has the ATS/8 Arachnid helmet for Hunters and The Ram helmet for Warlocks. Both are decent PvP helmets, but the real big ticket armor piece this week is that Titan chest piece.

On the weapon side, Xur has Hawkmoon available and it couldn't have come at a better time. With the recent hand cannon buff and individual buff for Hawkmoon, the exotic hand cannon has been a major player in the PvP meta. The gun has always been solid, but the latest balance changes have propelled it to elite status.

For a full rundown of Xur’s items and prices see the list below:

  • Twilight Garrison (Titan Chest Piece) – 13 Strange Coins
  • ATS/8 ARACHNID (Hunter Helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
  • The Ram (Warlock Helmet) – 13 Strange Coins
  • Hawkmoon – 23 Strange Coins
  • Legacy Heavy Weapon Engram – 31 Strange Coins
  • Three of Coins – 7 Strange Coins

Overall, it is a solid week for Xur, assuming players don't already have the weapons and armor pieces on offer. And we're pretty sure there are a few Titans out there who are praising RNGesus.
