Destiny fans the world over are currently making their way through all the new content offered in the House of Wolves expansion pack. So far public perception of the add-on seems to be positive, or at least, more positive than it was for The Dark Below, and that is partly thanks to the hefty amount of content that has released with the expansion.

Despite all the newly included content, House of Wolves lacks a new Raid. This is because Bungie decided to introduce a new style of co-op experience to the game with the Prison of Elders game mode in its place. Prison of Elders is very similar to Horde Mode from games like Gears of War, in that the matches are round-based and feature players working together to take out waves of randomized enemies.

Prison of Elders also features a number of difficulty levels, with the challenges (and potential rewards) increasing with each step up the difficulty ladder. Dedicated Destiny fans are already hard at work at mastering Prison of Elders, but a fireteam led by YouTuber KnoxTheBox, has managed to accomplish just that, defeating the level 35 Prison of Elders boss, Skolas, in a mere 40 seconds.

The strategy used by KnoxTheBox and his team is fairly simple, but actually pulling it off takes a lot of skill and fast reflexes. As can be seen in the video, KnoxTheBox drops bubble shields (an ability gained by leveling the Titan's Defender subclass) for a buff called 'Weapons of Light' while spamming shots from his Gjallarhorn, an exotic rocket launcher and one of the game's most powerful weapons. The other weapons used by KnoxTheBox in the video after the Skolas fight include the Fatebringer (a powerful, legendary-tier hand cannon) as his primary and the Black Hammer, which is a legendary-tier sniper rifle.

The rewards for going through the Prison of Elders are numerous. Completing it gains players access to a treasure room, and the mode also has a chance to drop treasure keys, which can be used to open additional chests during POE runs in the same week.

Besides the Prison of Elders, House of Wolves gives players other opportunities to gain new, high quality gear as well. Most notably, the new multiplayer event, Trials of Osiris (which is live from Friday to Tuesday every week), allows players to unlock exclusive gear, if they are able to put together a skilled enough fireteam, that is.

In any case, the feat accomplished by KnoxTheBox and his team in Prison of Elders is very impressive, especially considering the difficulty level at which they were playing. Destiny has had some notorious difficult challenges throughout its lifespan so far, mostly in the form of Raids, so it's always cool to see someone not only conquer the challenge, but do so in a grandiose fashion such as we see here.

Destiny is available on PS3, Ps4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The House of Wolves expansion pack is now available to download as well, across all of the game's platforms.
