Destiny 2's Season of the Chosen has been going on for six weeks now, giving fans of the looter-shooter plenty of Battlegrounds activities to complete, the Presage Exotic quest to conquer, and much more. Soon Destiny 2 players will have a new Strike to complete as part of Season of the Chosen, with the Proving Grounds Strike set to be available to Season Pass holders first within the next few days.

The Proving Grounds Strike in Destiny 2 will be available for Season Pass holders following the Weekly Reset on Tuesday, March 23. One week later on Tuesday, March 30, all Destiny 2 players will be have access to the Strike. Specific details on what Destiny 2 fans can expect from the Strike have yet to be revealed, but it appears as though it will be the next major story beat for Season of the Chosen.

Destiny 2's Season of the Chosen has been all about Cabal Empress Caiatl, and her desire to convince the Guardians to join the Cabal to help them in their fight against the Hive. However, this would require the Guardians to submit themselves to Caiatl as her subjects, which has, as expected, caused quite a bit of tension between the groups. So for most of Season of the Chosen, Destiny 2 players have been fighting Cabal in Battlegrounds playlists and elsewhere in the system.

Destiny 2 season of the chosen

There was some major progress for the Destiny 2 story recently when an assassin tried to kill Zavala at the Tower. The Proving Grounds Strike appears as though it will be the next step in the story, with the Guardians facing off against Caiatl's chosen Champion. How exactly it all goes down remains to be seen, but Destiny 2 Season Pass holders will find out once the new Strike goes live on March 23, and everyone else will get to see what happens on March 30.

Next week should be an exciting time for Destiny 2 players for more reasons beyond just the new Proving Grounds strikes. The Iron Banner will be making its return to the Crucible, which should help out any Destiny 2 players that still have Iron Banner Seasonal Challenges left to complete in the game.

Speaking of Seasonal Challenges, there should be a fresh batch for Destiny 2 players to complete come Tuesday's Weekly Reset as well. Unless there's any changes, Destiny 2 players should find themselves completing more Battlegrounds, unlocking the Toxicology ornament for the Salvager's Salvo Grenade Launcher, and more.

Destiny 2 is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
