Monthly Game Guide December

As 2012 comes to a close, we take the time to reflect on the big releases of the year and the final few titles that will have made recent months special. Celebrating some of the best titles of 2012 is the Spike VGA’s, which airs later this month.

The biggest release of December if undoubtedly that of Far Cry 3 (read our review), which releases in early December for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Of course, PC gamers can’t forget about the Mech game Hawken, which is sure to keep plenty of users busy over the Christmas holidays. There are also a couple of Vita titles, but aside from that December continues the tradition of being a slow month. Oh well, guess it’s as good a time as ever to clear out the back log.

  1. I’m spending much of this month catching up on PSN titles. Been playing a lot of Rainbow Moon and Derrick The Deathfin, not to mention I still have to finish Dyad.

Then there’s Fallout 3 which I just started, and of course, Black Ops 2 multiplayer.

When it comes to new releases, the only one I really want is DJMax Techinka Tune. Probably gonna pick up Far Cry 3 during Boxing Day sales.

  2. Cabela, a family minigame compilation, and an almost definitely bad Marvel title. Exciting times for Wii U owners.

    • BUT, we also get Rapala Pro Bass Fishing 2012, 007 Legends and Rise of the Guardians too.

      No nevermind…forget it.

Toki Tori 2 might be fun…

      • Ah, touche!

  3. Oh boy not too much for me here. Ill for sure be buying mass effect trilogy for my ps3 but I’m still working towards the end of ac3 (which story wise is Disapointing so far) and I as well just started fallout 3 (was only five bucks at my local GameStop).

Plus I have the Bourne legacy and the dark knight rises to buy on BluRay so I’m cleaned out.

  4. i finally got hitman in the mail, but am so immersed in far cry 3 that i wont be playing it until late this month :D i really like how you can just go off and do whatever you want whenever you want, rather than being forced to play through the story first to get all the good stuff.

  5. I’m kind of glad there isn’t to much this month. I have a huge backlog that needs my attention. I still haven’t finished AC3 or ZombiU yet. I just got Professor Layton MM and Paper Mario SS. Plus, I have a stack of older games, like Skyrim, I picked up on Black Friday sitting here too.

  6. I’m not going to pick up any December releases this month, but I do plan on eventually getting Far Cry 3, The Walking Dead (the collection), and maybe the Mass Effect Trilogy.
