At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, developer High Moon Studios teased they had an announcement that was sure to make Marvel fans giddy with excitement. Gamers initially begun speculating what the Transformers developer might be working on, but only a select few correctly figured it out: High Moon was making a Deadpool game.

Along with the Deadpool announcement, High Moon showed off a brief teaser trailer for the game, and had the 'Merc with the Mouth' make a public appearance for posterity's sake. It was a reveal that took most nearly by surprise, and got the excitement flowing.

One of the biggest elements fans began instantly speculating on post-reveal was who might make a cameo in the game. As with any good superhero title, like Arkham City or Spider-Man, comic book fans expect that some of Deadpool's famous cohorts, nemesis, and frenemies will make an appearance.

At this year's New York Comic-Con (a byproduct of its San Diego brethren's success) Deadpool once again made an appearance to announce one of those juicy cameos. Who is going to be featured in the game you ask? Well none other than Domino, a character with rich history in the X-Men and Deadpool comics.

While the nature of Domino's role in Deadpool was not revealed during the panel, there's hope her appearance in the game will lead to cameos by Cable and various members of the X-Force. Domino's existence as major competition for Deadpool could be used to keep her in more of the game than a typical villain, but if she just made an appearance in a boss fight that would be more than serviceable.

High Moon really hasn't explained how they plan to structure Deadpool, though, so any character announcements merely indicate that character will show up in the game. For example, that first trailer for Deadpool hinted that Psylocke will appear, but we have no idea in what capacity.

For now, though, this announcement leaves us speculating as to what other classic Deadpool characters we'd like to see pop up in the game.

How would you like to see High Moon introduce Domino into the world of Deadpool? What other characters from the comics would you like to see make an appearance?

Deadpool is targeting a 2013 release date on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
