Two interesting things popped up from an EA today as they detailed their upcoming lineup of games.
The first of those was that Dead Space 2 would be released on the PC. Though not overly surprising, since the first game was available on the PC, it was just nice to hear since it was previously unannounced.
The second detail was that Dead Space 2 would show up on a “handheld/mobile” platform. That could mean a number of things, whether its the DS, PSP, or iPhone. I for one think that the highest probability would be the iPhone. We’ve started to see more and more bite-size versions of games show up on the platform that originally had homes on the consoles, like Metal Gear Solid Touch and Mass Effect Galaxy. Those games were markedly different than their console parents, but being that Resident Evil 4 showed up on the iPhone, might we see a full fledged version of Dead Space 2 as well?
Only time will tell.
Dead Space 2 is set for release sometime in Q1 2011 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC

I am very impressed that EA intends to publish this PC. It is making money, like EA does things. And I know that PC gaming is down too late. So I think that EA believes that this game will be a huge sales figures. And i am going to buy the first day! Dead Space Tracks!
