One intrepid Dark Souls 3 player takes on the latest entry in game developer From Software's action-RPG series and beats every boss without taking a hit.

As many Dark Souls 3 fans will attest, it's hard enough battling one's way through the kingdom of Lothiric and making it to the end of From Software's action-RPG. Of course, an even more difficult task would be trying to beat the game without getting hit, with a lot of players attempting the feat and failing, as the the screen eventually displays the message "You died," resulting in a push for fans to simply "git gud."

Certainly, though, there is a rare breed of Dark Souls 3 players who can not only finish the game in its entirety, but also do so without taking a single scratch from any enemies. As a matter of fact, the Twitch streamer known as The Happy Hob recently completed the task of playing through the whole title without taking a hit from the action-RPG's stable of adversaries, including each and every boss such as the Nameless King, Pontiff Sulyvahn, and all the rest of the title's fearsome foes.

As seen in The Happy Hob's Twitch stream video below, the player's no hit boss slaying run for Dark Souls 3 begins around the 4:47 mark and wraps up at about 9:05. Although the feat itself is magnificent enough, perhaps even more impressive is the fact that he did it all without the use of magic and relying only on melee attacks.

For those unaware, The Happy Hob joins a small group of people who took on Dark Souls 3 and survived without taking any damage. As it happens, he's the third player to ever successfully finish a playthrough of the game and not have an enemy harm him. One of the other triumphant completions with these qualifications belongs to the Twitch streamer FaraazKhan who finished a no-hit run not too long ago, but unlike The Happy Hob, he bailed on some boss battles when the situations started getting too dicey.

Sure, the ranks of those who have beaten Dark Souls 3 without taking any damage are relatively small, and they should be applauded for their determined efforts. However, there are some players that decided to make their way through the game in their own unique manners, by setting strange self-limitations on how it can be played, thus making them the only people in existence to have finished the title with those stipulations. For instance, one fan used a dance pad to complete Dark Souls 3, while another actually went a step further to beat it using only his feet and standard controller.

Considering the fact that so many Dark Souls 3 players have taken it upon themselves to revisit the title again and again to best their last efforts in a variety of ways is a definitely testament to the game's popularity. In truth, a lot of fans would argue that the third entry in From Software's Souls series is easily one of the top games of 2016 thus far. With this being the case, it's highly likely we will see even more no-hit playthroughs and speedruns for Dark Souls 3 in the future.

Dark Souls 3 is out now and is available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
