Since its launch, players have been flying up the Halo: Reach ranks, earning credits by the thousands. But for those of you who feel like they are making a serious dent in their earnings, I have bad news for you. Posted on the Halo Wiki, is a complete list of every rank gamers can attain along with the associated symbol and credit amount required.
Surprisingly, Halo: Reach borrows much of its ranking system from the Army, even though the infamous Master Chief is a Navy enlisted rank. After the standard Army ranks are grades created specifically for the Halo universe. Prepare yourself gamers, because you are going to be in for a long haul if you want to make the rank of Inheritor. We know this won’t discourage true Halo addicts, who are a hearty and dedicated folk.
Here’s your full list of the ranks:
- Recruit – 0 CR
- Private – 7,500 CR
- Corporal – 10,000 CR
- Corporal Grade 1 – 15,000 CR
- Sergeant – 20,000 CR
- Sergeant Grade 1 – 26,250 CR
- Sergeant Grade 2 – 32,500 CR
- Warrant Officer – 45,000 CR
- Warrant Officer Grade 1 – 78,000 CR
- Warrant Officer Grade 2 – 111,000 CR
- Warrant Officer Grade 3 – 144,000 CR

I am sure that the higher ranks seem a bit intimidating, but hopefully, as Bungie keeps the daily challenges coming, there will be plenty of ways to continuously rank up. Both the daily and weekly challenges have been a great way for Reach players to partake in all of the robust play experiences the game has to offer. If Bungie notices that gamers have been neglecting a certain game mode, the challenges also allow them to entice players away from the more popular modes.
Like most gamers who love ranking up, learning that it is going to be a long trek to the top is a bit disappointing. Sure, the incentives to rank up are purely cosmetic changes to one’s own Noble Team member, but no matter what carrot you dangle in front of my face I am going to want all of it. Inheritor, here I come.

It takes WAY too long to rank up in this game and the rewards aren’t really… rewarding.
I’m already getting a little bored of the multiplayer basic matches and it taking 100 hours to buy a new helmet.
Still having fun with Headhunter though!
Im extremely bored with the maps that came with the game. Forge is cool but what do i do when i have no friends online to play them with. They need a map pack quick.

Yeah i’m only just turned captain.. I’ve been playing for about 55-60 hrs gameplay. And i’m barely 1percent towards Noble (my goal)
you should just go to firefight make your armor ability last longer infinite ammo and more health and stronger bullets the covenent dropships will keep coming and eventually they will bring hunters wich when u kill them they give u about 90 credits hope it helps some PEACE

This is just way to far of a rank to reach. there is now a whole new meaning to halo ‘reach’ thats just way to far to go in credits. and there is a daily credit cap of 60k! thats ridiculous how do they expect this! we should petition. avid halo fan but this is to far. to get to two million credits right now the fastest you can do it in is 34 days! its going to take a year to reach inheritor!! why bungie why!?!? i love you though….

Maybe because pure grinding should die off and these ranks will actually represent true exclusiveness.
Just saying, if your going to establish ranks as a way to distinguish the different tiers between gamers and their dedication/skill/what have you, you might as well make it truly a feat to reach the upper echelons.
Being the top rank is no good if everyone and their brother is there with you.

If you noticed some people played Halo 3 for 2-3 years. Theoretically it will take 2-2.5 years to reach the highest rank in this game. Perfect incentive to keep playing if I must say.
I am at Lt Colonel Grade-1 Bored of this game and selling it as soon as the new COD comes out.
Lt Cornel grade 3 and i already feel like it was a grind to get this far, im all for dedication but im bored. i love you bungie but this is kinda ridiculous
I think that the inheritor rank is just purely unreachable. They better have double xp weekends and/or grifball to return.

And to those saying it’s too much to get to the highest level, just think that if you got to the highest level in 30 days, would that game be worth it? No it wouldn’t. You want continuation in a game. Taking 2 or more years to get to Inheritor is something that’s worth doing. Especially since this is the (so-called) last Halo

I am already just a brigadeir it was easy as heck all you do is go to firefight raise your sheild bullet damage and armor ability length and the drop ships will bring hunters after a while and then you get about 90 credits every time you kill them and brute cheiftans u get 137 every time u assassinate them so that should help PEACE
this game beats all other games and i am its best player

In halo reach it is entirely random on how many credits u will get u may get 13 cr for a grunt kill or 40 for an assaination so best of luck 790 and also now i am a mythic

Dan Drag; Link is not lieing…there is a rank cap that restricts players from exceeding Lt. Colonel Grade 3 at the moment. there are also cR caps as well…bungie is makeing sure you cant boost or glitch ranks in this game. as for the list he posted, it is real. you can unlock everything including rank with an offline profile and Modeo. the ranks have been confirmed.
