A unique and exciting crossover could be headed to Call of Duty: Vanguard in the near future. The Call of Duty franchise has been big on crossovers as of late, as Call of Duty: Warzone has teamed up with Die Hard, Judge Dredd, Rambo, and the like. That looks to continue with Call of Duty: Vanguard, and the next crossover could include something from the popular manga and anime Attack on Titan.

The same Call of Duty dataminer that suggested Donnie Darko was headed to Call of Duty: Warzone has just uncovered some interesting tidbits for Call of Duty: Vanguard. Although Vanguard just released a few days ago, files are already being looked into. In the case of this particular find, it certainly seems like a surprising Attack on Titan crossover is on the way.

Call of Duty leaker @_Nanikos_ recently shared datamined information in the memory dumps of Call of Duty: Vanguard that fans should find very interesting. The words "swordtitan" and "aot_titan" were found when digging through the files. That information suggests that an Attack of Titan crossover is on the way, specifically implying that one or more Attack of Titan characters could be added to the list of Call of Duty: Vanguard Operators already in the game. There could also be things such as calling Calling Cards, weapon skins, and other things of that nature.

According to Nanikos, the idea is that the collaboration would go live sometime in December. This part of the leak is pure speculation, but Nanikos has been on target in the past. For now, the idea of an Attack of Titan crossover with Call of Duty: Vanguard should be taken with a bit of a grain of salt, but seeing the data in-game is certainly a reason to speculate.

Attack on Titan recently won a culture award, as the manga and anime have had a huge impact around the world. From a pure popularity perspective, having a crossover with Call of Duty and Attack on Titan makes sense. However, there are not too many times in which a mainly Japanese pop culture property finds its way into something like Call of Duty (compared to something like Marvel, DC, John Wick, or Star Wars in Fortnite). On top of that, Call of Duty: Vanguard is a World War 2-themed game, so the collaboration with an anime that sees humans fighting off giant monster-like creatures seems almost off-putting. Time will tell if this datamined find is accurate.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
