Even though the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale mode still hasn't been officially announced, various players around the world have been able to glitch into its menu and discover new information about the game. There has been an endless stream of Modern Warfare battle royale leaks over the past few days because of this, with the latest one revealing the mode's massive player count.

According to the leaked Modern Warfare battle royale menus, the Warzone battle royale mode will support up to 200 players. This is considerably more players than any other major battle royale game on the market, with most capping out at 100 players.

This could mean a couple of different things. One, it could mean that the Modern Warfare battle royale map is going to be especially large compared to other battle royale games. Alternatively, it's possible that the Modern Warfare battle royale map will be about the same size as other games in the genre, with the higher player count meant to keep players engaged in firefights more consistently. It's also possible that the game will use a mix of real players and bots like we've seen in Fortnite lately, but that remains to be seen.

Needless to say, having such a high player count in a battle royale game is sure to catch the attention of genre fans who have yet to pick up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. While not everyone enjoys the battle royale style of gameplay, this could draw in a new group of players and breathe new life into Modern Warfare in general. That's assuming that the Modern Warfare battle royale mode is actually good, though, and that has yet to be proven.

With so many leaks about the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare battle royale mode, it seems like it will be added to the game very soon. Infinity Ward usually releases Modern Warfare updates on a weekly basis, so maybe fans will finally get to play the battle royale mode. And maybe part of the reason why the Modern Warfare Season 2 update file size was so large was because it also laid the groundwork for the battle royale mode, but that's just speculation at this time.

Hopefully more concrete information on the Modern Warfare battle royale mode comes sooner rather than later.
