Activision reveals more details about this weekend's Call of Duty XP event, where the company will reveal the multiplayer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and more.

A few months ago, Activision confirmed that the Call of Duty XP event would return this year to give fans a closer look at Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's multiplayer, and now the company has offered more details. Fans can visit Inglewood, California this coming Friday, September 2nd to get their hands on the multiplayer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, in addition to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered and the next DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

Fans that can't be in attendance at the Call of Duty XP event in Inglewood won't have to miss out on the fun, though. Activision is hosting a livestream of the event at 10am Pacific on September 2nd, where the company is expected to unveil maps, modes, beta details, and the first gameplay footage of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's multiplayer mode.

Infinite Warfare will be highlighted at the Call of Duty XP event in ways beyond just its multiplayer component, however. For example, fans can look forward to seeing more of the recently revealed Zombies in Spaceland, and while it hasn't been confirmed, there is a distinct possibility that more of the campaign will be revealed at the event as well.

The livestream will also mark the first time fans will have the chance to see Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered's multiplayer mode in action. If fans are lucky, Activision may take the opportunity to announce the five other maps that will be included with Modern Warfare Remastered as well, so those looking to pick up the more expensive versions of Infinite Warfare later this year know exactly what classic maps they will able to play.

If all of that weren't enough, Activision will also have Black Ops III's final DLC on hand, along with the finals of the Call of Duty World League Championship. To close out this busy weekend for Call of Duty fans, Activision has signed known celebrity gamers Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa for a live musical performance.

From celebrity appearances to extended looks at multiple Call of Duty games on the horizon, it's clear that Activision is putting a lot of effort into this year's Call of Duty XP event. We'll see in a few months if this hard work pays off, and helps Infinite Warfare to continue Call of Duty's streak of being the best-selling game of the year.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be available on November 4th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
