A massive list of Season 2 content for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is out and includes new maps. Treyarch is adding a diverse collection of multiplayer maps for the next season of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

The classic first person shooter has been getting a lot of new releases recently. With the recent additions of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War League Play and more content for the Zombies mode, players will have been logging in for some frantic multiplayer action. It looks like the content train is going to keep rolling into Season 2, with more maps joining the rotation.

Treyarch has shown off 4 new multiplayer maps of varying formats and locations. The first in the list, Apocalypse, is coming out for the Season 2 launch and utilizes the 6v6 structure. This map will take place in a Lao Jungle cartel base where key intel is hiding. The developers describe the small-to-medium size map as perfect for aggressive operators while battling in buildings and temples. The next map, Golova, comes sometime in the season and is a multi-team format. A Russian testing ground set in a tranquil village, this map encourages both close quarters and long range firefights.

Players can then head over to Mansion, set in the tropical locale of Havana, Cuba. Those who played the main campaign in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will recognize this map in the End of the Line mission. This signature locale is going to be formed into a 2v2/3v3 map for players. The tight rooms and dual courtyards demands frantic combat, and places the overtime zone in the center for hectic faceoffs. The last of the collection is called Miami Strike, and is another 6v6 match type in Ocean Park Drive. This is a daytime version of the original map, and will push heated Team Death Matches and Hardpoint battles.

Of all the content coming in Season 2, multiplayer maps are going to be some of the most anticipated. Lack of maps is a problem for Call of Duty, so more interesting locations should keep players engaged. It seems like Treyarch is pulling out all the stops as it takes fans across the globe to these maps. There also seems to be a wide variety of playstyles available, so these new additions should not get too repetitive.

That said, the lack of specific release dates could be a bummer for the community. While it is clear the maps are coming, there is no telling when each will actually show up. Therefore, fans could be running Apocalypse for awhile before any of the other maps come to the game. In any case, these maps are just the tip of the content changes coming this season to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
