Fancy yourself a creative individual? Do you dream of creating the ultimate collector’s edition that puts statues of dragons or replica Batarangs to shame? Here comes your opportunity… well, at least you can slightly contribute.
Gearbox Software has decided to start taking suggestions about what to include in the Borderlands 2 Collector’s Edition. Suggestions of anything. Anything.
Where can you go to let Gearbox know what you want in your Borderlands 2 Collector’s Edition? To their official forum, obviously. Gearbox is very much a fan-oriented studio and they are willing to do whatever they can to please their customers. Whether or not it’s committing to making a better Duke Nukem game, improving Borderlands 2 quest structure (to be more cohesive), or making an Aliens game that looks pretty spectacular.
Most collector’s editions, including Skyrim‘s, usually include some kind of statue. BioShock had a Big Daddy, Batman: Arkham Asylum included a Batarang, and even Fallout 3 offered-up a Pip Boy bobblehead. If enough people voted on it, would a Claptrap tiny robot be something you would want to see? They’re just so adorable, who could say no?
Again, this is your chance to decree unto Gearbox the contents you would like to see. If it’s within reason and enough people ask for it, your idea might be used…provided it’s stuff Gearbox can afford. Replica weapons might be out of the question, unfortunately.
With a game like Borderlands 2, where there are loads of guns, exclusive weaponry might be on the list of quite a few individuals. Artbooks, soundtracks, Xbox dashboard themes, avatar items, t-shirts, the list can go on and on. If you think your ideas would be something Gearbox would want to think about including, get over to their forum and let them know.
Borderlands 2 will be releasing in 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

i’d love the marcus gungod statue we saw in the demo. no pose-able figurines though b/c most end up crap (like the deus ex jensen figurine).
We didn’t get the Jensen figure out my way, how was it crap? (pure curisoity, I collect toys and I’m deeply jealous you guys got it and not me)
If I’m going to pay extra at launch, I want a free pass for all future DLC. Give me a reason not to wait for the inevitable “Borderlands 2 COMPLETE” pack at a fraction of the cost, Gearbox!

All collector’s editions should give you all future DLC for free, It’s my biggest drawback for dropping money on the Skyrim CE because you don’t get much, and it’s $150, now if they gave me all the DLC(which will be a lot) plus like an exclusive weapon quest, which doesn’t really effect none-CE owners. I’d drop $150 faster than a blink of an eye.
yeah i would have to agree with you on that, i payed almost double for the DLC. seeing GoY edition for $40 when i payed $80 (plus another 80 for all DLC) hurt my wallet so hard it nearly bled
that’s not to say the DLC wasn’t fun b/c it sure as hell was (besides moxxi, which corrupted my 1st char and deleted some of my bros gear). they where short and to the point, and provided players with the great armoury glitch *sits back and thinks back to the days where he would spend all night loot farming with mates* ahhh the good old days.

your start of on a island and big skag zillaz are killing everbody clap traps are on your side you got to make it to the other side of the island killing waves of eneimes going throw a horror house at the end you get on boats and leave to another part of the island and you got to defeat (Sledge and Mr.Shank) to take over the island and other bosses and once you take over the island its your to create just a little add on to make your on world make tress bulding ever little thing you can build the island up. Build shops houses what ever you you can make your own npc for the island for the shops and everthing and a dance party unce unce unce what ever i really wnat to have my on island and have a editor to make what ever i want on the island so please make this a add on
All DLC and a Claptrap statue would be awesome. Or even a statue of the four main characters. Or perhaps a psycho action figure, or a wearable psycho mask. CE aside, Borderlands should seriously have an action figure line (outside of those limited Claptraps). Just about everything in that world would make a great figure.
How about a refund for Borderlands 1?

I personally think a CL4P-TP plushie would be amazing, or the container the collectors edition comes in could be a CL4P-TP.
Forget the collectors edition (free dlc would be nice). And just get the game out already!
I would like this game to also be on the psp vita so after I kick serious butt on the console and find some awesome weapons I would take it on the go and share my finds among my friends!
also I hope you let people create(mod)weapons that kept me playin’ the game EVEN more!!
beat it on both 360 & ps3 but still continued to play on the ps3!
