Welcome to Black Desert Online, one of the biggest massively multiplayer online role-playing games on the market right now. Since its release in 2014, the game just keeps pumping out content, some of which are new classes. Right now there are 21 classes available to choose from (and more on the way).
One of these classes is the Lahn, a master of martial arts. They are from a kingdom way out far east. Their choice of weapon is the Crescent Pendulum, a blade attached to a chain. Lahns are so agile on the battlefield that it looks like they are dancing.
When it comes to playstyle, the Lahn strings together combos that involve grabbing and swinging around their Crescent Pendulum to slice enemies from all angles. The skills used by Lahns allow them to hit many targets at once and move around like lightning.
10 Evasion
Rolling, rolling, rolling. That is what Evasion does. It allows the Lahn to roll, either sideways or backward.
This is an important mobility skill for Lahns because they can dodge in any direction. Also, Evasion can be performed with ease by double-tapping the movement keys. While quite a simplistic skill, this is vital and should be unlocked as soon as possible.
9 Blade Of Blood
The Blade of Blood skill is exactly how it sounds. It is an attack that hits a maximum of 10 targets and inflicts Stiffness (not Bleeding, ironically).
Moreover, Blade of Blood has Super Armor attached to it while the skill is being performed. In fact, the Lahn enjoys Super Armor even a couple of seconds after the skill animation ends too.
8 Spring Breeze
Acting as both a mobility skill and an attacking skill, Spring Breeze allows the Lahn to close the gap between them and their target. It makes them charge toward the target, covering a decent range of distance actually.
Upon striking, the Lahn inflicts Stiffness too. Furthermore, they have Forward Guard active while moving. It does not stop there too, the player can throw in a kick or a dashing slash right at the end of the animation.
7 Flow: Sacred Dance
There are several Flow skills available to the Lahn. Flow: Sacred Dance is definitely one worth picking up. It is an attack that knocks down targets.
Additionally, Flow: Sacred Dance has a chance to come out as a Down Smash attack instead of a regular attack (which means bonus damage on targets that are knocked down). Either way, the skill has Forward Guard when active and Super Armor during the attacking phase.
6 Flow: Vice
Another Flow skill that proves useful for the Lahn is Flow: Vice. While this may be performed during Tailspin (if the player chooses to use that skill), it can also be executed without Tailspin at all.
What is good about Flow: Vice is that it pairs well with Flow: Sacred Dance. This is because the attack has a guaranteed Down Smash. (Flow: Vice has Super Armor too when active!)
5 Salp'uri Purge
This is the Lahn's big damage skill. Salp'uri Purge is an attack that has a Critical Hit rate of 100 percent. On top of that, it inflicts Floating and has Super Armor during usage.
Salp'uri Purge hits that land will reduce the targets' defense power by a little for a little too. This skill is best used to kick off combos. (The enemy will not know what is coming.)
4 Cymbidium
When the player has 200 percent Black Spirit Rage, the go-to move is Cymbidium. This attack has a Critical Hit rate of 50 percent and inflicts Bound as well as a chance to be a Down Smash.
Moreover, Cymbidium has Forward Guard. The strategy here is to also get the Coax skill, which has Super Armor and pulls the target towards the player. Both are solid picks for Lahn (but only together, not separately).
3 Moon Slash
Note: If a player is only interested in PvP, not PvE, then they should not bother with Moon Slash.
The cool thing about Moon Slash is it takes a mob of enemies (up to 10) and spins their heads right round, right round. This attack flips them so their backs are now facing the player. The Lahn benefits greatly from this skill when combat becomes overwhelming (to slow it down) or when trying to set up another attack (for combo potential).
2 Eye Of The Phoenix
This is the skill that follows up Moon Slash nicely for the Lahn.
Eye of the Pheonix is an attack that only works when used with another skill. It will inflict Stun on enemies. What Eye of the Phoenix lacks in defense it more than makes up for in offensive capabilities. That is why executing Eye of the Phoenix directly following Moon Slash is the play when it comes to crowd control for a deadly (and easy) combo.
1 Blooming Nether Flower
The Blooming Nether Flower skill is the high risk, high reward attack for the Lahn. It knocks down targets and deals big damage. However, there is no protection during execution.
If the player is in the midst of combat, they probably should not use Blooming Nether Flower. Instead, they should activate Salp'uri Purge or Cymbidium. But if combat has not started yet or there is an opening, Blooming Nether Flower will make the Lahn thrust forward spinning around; and when it works, it works.
