Bioshock 2 players who have been waiting for widescreen functionality to properly implemented in the PC version of the game can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The patch for the problem will be arriving early Wednesday morning, and will let you see Bioshock 2 in all of its beautiful underwater glory.
Irrational Games’ patch fixes a problem that also plagued the original game for the PC when it was released. Instead of widescreen resolutions being true widescreen, they were simply cropped version of 4:3 resolutions. It was not fixed for the sequel despite demands from the fanbase and complaints about it the first time around but they’re addressing it now fortunately.
That’s not a minor problem, folks. Tomorrow though, thankfully, it will all be in the past.
