Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the next feature title of the Battlefield series by EA Digital Illusions CE and to be published by Electronic Arts, has a new trailer out, titled "moments" and Game Rant has it for your viewing pleasure.

In addition to new vehicles, the ability to take down complete buildings rather than just walls, and a few new weapons; the basic gameplay of Bad Company 2 will closely follow that of Battlefield: Bad Company.

The story takes place in a variety of locales with a nice assortment of scenic backdrops, including snow-covered moutains, dry deserts and lush jungles. You may traverse the partly-destructible environments any way you choose, employing your own strategy to take down the enemy and complete your mission.

There are significant improvements to multiplayer which include customizable kit selection (similar to the previous Battlefield games, but not the first Bad Company). You may alter your kit and earn unlocks to utilize, before play and before spawns. Some examples of mods you can unlock are upgraded sights for your weapon or enhanced grenade launchers.

As a bonus in the game, there will be several World War 2 era weapons from Battlefield 1943 made available to owners of the game in online play. They were selected by fan-vote. I wonder how powerful they'll be against modern weapons...

If you pre-order at Gamestop, the AKS-74 will be unlocked for use, assuming they don't completely screw-up like they did with Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2's release date is set at March 2, 2010 in North America and March 5th in Europe. The game will be available on the PC, PS3 and X-Box 360.
