Battlefield 4 Official Site

Hot on the heels of Microsoft's official confirmation of a May event to unveil the next-generation Xbox, an event where their rumored partnership with Electronic Arts may also be detailed - one that may involve timed DLC exclusivity for Battlefield 4 DLC - another leak has offered more credence to the game's features.

The features were rumored before, even included in previous games, but the latest leaked poster looks more official, even though it's not directly from EA. Prepare to welcome back Battlefield's Commander Mode.

BF4Central has the scoop with another leaked poster, this one more official looking than the shoddy photoshop job "poster" from last week. It not only highlights the return of an oddly missing feature from Battlefield 3 (now marketed as a new feature) but it confirms the game's first DLC, titled "Drone Strike.'

The image comes from EB Games Australia. Any bets on drone strikes being part of the Commander's abilities?

Armchair general: Rank up into the seat of the brand new Commander mode and lead your team to victory.

Battlelog 2.0: The next version of the state of the art gaming portal. Track every shot, every opponent, every detail of your online Battlefield career.

Go Premium: Stand out on the battlefield with exclusive uniforms, weapons, and more. Get exclusive expansions, starting with Drone Strike (TBA).

Thrill Ride: Thrilling singleplayer campaign takes you all over the world as part of an elite squad of soldiers.

Drones! For fans looking to find out game details, or what innovative and new features are coming with the next Battlefield installment, you're still going to have to wait. The promotional art - which could have been sent out by EA or the retailer if authentic - basically says players can buy DLC early, that the game features a campaign, and brings back a mode first introduced into the series eight years ago.

Show us something new, EA! Details will come shortly, potentially as early as May 21st. There will also be a major unveiling as part of EA's E3 2013 press conference. We'll be there and we'll play the game at the event so stay tuned!

Battlefield 4 may release October 29, 2013 for the PC and current/next-gen PlayStation & Xbox.
