Fans of the Battlefield franchise are very familiar with hunting down incredibly well-hidden easter eggs and that hasn't been an exception for 2016's Battlefield 1. The World War 1 first-person shooter has been out for months, but the community is still in the process of unlocking some of the game's easter eggs. One more of those mysteries can be checked off the list today as a Battlefield 1 player just posted a video of the game's rumored megalodon easter egg.

YouTuber DANNYonPC managed to capture the appearance of an enormous shark in Battlefield 1 on camera and players now know where the beast should show up. The video doesn't explain every step taken on the server so far to set up this puddle jumping shark, but hopefully those details will emerge shortly.

For now, here's a look at the vicious and surprising shark attack...

Although there are no easter guide instructions in the video, the descriptions explains...

"Grab some vinyl, turn all valves, a puddle with water fills near C, kill people in the puddle so it fills with blood, get bitten by shark."

In theory, that sounds simple enough. The hardest part should be finding and turning all the valves. After that, killing people until the water is blood-red should be simple enough. Despite the simple tutorial, other users seem to be having trouble summoning the megalodon.

Some users in the comments section claim to have followed those steps and weren't able to trigger the shark appearance, so it seems like that there is more to the trick than meets the eye. We have also been unable to recreate the easter egg at this point.

What do you think of the ridiculous shark attack? Have you made any progress towards unlocking this easter egg? How about the game's other hidden surprised? Let us know in the comments.

Battlefield 1 is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
