[WARNING! This post contains spoilers for Batman: Arkham Knight]

What started in Batman: Arkham Asylum came to a head in the final act of the series, Batman: Arkham Knight. Foes and allies converge on Gotham City as Batman deals with the biggest threat of his career.

When he’s not busy going toe-to-toe with the bag faced Scarecrow, he’s hounded by the mysterious Arkham Knight, a militaristic foe that seems to know Batman’s every move. Developer Rocksteady Studios revealed that the Arkham Knight was a brand new foe, and the fans would be shocked to learn his true identity upon completion of Batman: Arkham Knight.

As the game progressed, Batman struggled with the death of his brash young ward Jason Todd, who had met his end at the hands of the Joker. But when the Arkham Knight was finally unmasked, it was revealed that Todd was alive and (not quite) well. Swearing revenge on Batman and all he stood for, Todd took up the mantle of the Arkham Knight to seek vengeance for Batman’s inability to save him.

While Rocksteady had promised that the face under the Arkam Knight’s cowl would be a brand new character, this didn’t turn out to be the case. But with his camo and armor, the character became popular with fans, and this popularity came with cries for merchandise. Well, Rocksteady has heard these pleas, and they’ve pulled out the big gun in response.

The developer has unveiled a brand new Arkham Knight figure for superfans to add to their Arkham collection. Crafted by Prime 1 Studios, the figure stands a whopping 30” tall, features LED eyes, has five interchangeable hand configurations, and comes packed with a sniper rifle and dual pistols. In addition to the standard Arkham Knight figure, Prime 1 Studios will offer a limited edition version that includes a interchangeable Red Hood head sculpt and accompanying chest piece.

It’s a lovingly detailed figure, and its price tag reflects this: The Arkham Knight figure retails for a hefty $900. While steep, Prime 1 and Rocksteady anticipate the figure to sell out, with Prime 1 promising pre-order opportunities for fans looking to snag one of the 1000 exclusive version or 1500 regular version figures that will ultimately be released.

While Batman: Arkham Knight has certainly had its share of issues (with the PC debacle coming to mind), it cannot be denied that the story was top notch, and the Arkham Knight served as a good bookend for Batman's story. With this figure, fans of the series can immortalize Jason Todd's misguided quest for vengeance in a snappy figure that will look great on the mantlepiece.
