When Rocksteady Studios released their trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight last month, a few fans were quick to notice some secret codes hidden within the video. Once deciphered, the codes revealed bios for characters in Batman: Arkham Knight, including Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, and Poison Ivy.
Now, thanks to some clever searching by Batman fans, a few more codes have been discovered that unveil four more character bios. To view the bios, fans will need to enter the below codes into the Person of Interest box on the Batman: Arkham Knight website. After that gamers will open up bios for Robin, Catwoman, Nightwing, and Azrael.
- Robin code: bostaff
- Catwoman code: parkrow
- Nightwing code: flyinggraysons
- Azrael code: suit of sorrows
Thanks to a pair of teaser trailers released over the last couple days, we already knew Catwoman and Azrael were planned for the game. Those trailers are part of a countdown to a major reveal coming this Monday, which will likely feature these and other characters coming in Batman: Arkham Knight.

It seems Rocksteady Studios is taking a page out of NetherRealm Studios’ marketing book by revealing characters a few at a time. The latter developer conducted a slow, methodical character reveal campaign for their recently released Mortal Kombat X. That campaign successfully built a lot of hype for the fighting game, and paid off well for NetherRealm. We’re sure Rocksteady is looking to do the same with Batman: Arkham Knight.
Rocksteady will undoubtedly reveal additional characters and bios over the next few weeks and months before Batman: Arkham Knight releases in late June. It will be interesting to see if the current marketing strategy builds enough buzz for the strong sales Rocksteady is likely hoping for, especially considering this will be the last Arkham game by the developer and the last chance to capitalize on the Dark Knight’s popularity.
Of course this is just the beginning; there are still quite a few characters whose codes have yet to be discovered or cracked. Scarecrow, Riddler, Penguin, and the Arkham Knight are all known additions to the Batman: Arkham Knight cast, but they are not yet part of the site. That shouldn't last long, though, as we are sure there are at least a few gamers hard at work trying to find the hidden codes for these and additional characters. Moreover, we wouldn’t be surprised if Monday’s trailer includes a few hidden codes of its own.
[UPDATE: The final teaser trailer has arrived and features a look at Nightwing in-game.]
