The release date for the PC version of Batman: Arkham City has changed a few times. First it was scheduled for November 8, then November 15. Thankfully, Warner Bros. Interactive has finally decided to step in and set things straight. The PC version of Batman: Arkham City will be released on November 22, 2011, in North America and November 25, 2011, in the European territories.

The release date for the PC version of Batman: Arkham City had sort of been lost in the shuffle of other issues surrounding the game, such as anger over the VIP Pass required to play as Catwoman (news that some copies of the game had missing or invalid codes couldn't have helped matters, either).

There has yet to be any word on when Arkham City's many DLC packs (Joker's Carnival, Nightwing, etc) will see release on the PC, nor any news of when the OnLive version of the game will see release (though we expect it will launch alongside the PC game). Nevertheless, PC gamers have a lot be excited about. Batman's latest adventure is one of the best-reviewed games so far this year (you have read Game Rant's Batman: Arkham City review, right?), and has already snagged a Game of the Year nomination from Spike TV's Video Game Awards.

Prospective PC players may well have another reason to celebrate Arkham City's release: the console versions will have been out a full month at that point, and (with any luck) the DLC code issues that afflicted so many console players won't crop up again. Though, if they do, at least publisher Warner Bros. Interactive should be ready to respond.

Batman: Arkham City is available now for the Xbox 360 and PS3. It will be released on PC November 22 in North America, November 25 in Europe.
