Batman: Arkham City PC Release Date

The release date for the PC version of Batman: Arkham City has changed a few times. First it was scheduled for November 8, then November 15. Thankfully, Warner Bros. Interactive has finally decided to step in and set things straight. The PC version of Batman: Arkham City will be released on November 22, 2011, in North America and November 25, 2011, in the European territories.

The release date for the PC version of Batman: Arkham City had sort of been lost in the shuffle of other issues surrounding the game, such as anger over the VIP Pass required to play as Catwoman (news that some copies of the game had missing or invalid codes couldn’t have helped matters, either).

There has yet to be any word on when Arkham City’s many DLC packs (Joker’s Carnival, Nightwing, etc) will see release on the PC, nor any news of when the OnLive version of the game will see release (though we expect it will launch alongside the PC game). Nevertheless, PC gamers have a lot be excited about. Batman’s latest adventure is one of the best-reviewed games so far this year (you have read Game Rant’s Batman: Arkham City review, right?), and has already snagged a Game of the Year nomination from Spike TV’s Video Game Awards.

Prospective PC players may well have another reason to celebrate Arkham City’s release: the console versions will have been out a full month at that point, and (with any luck) the DLC code issues that afflicted so many console players won’t crop up again. Though, if they do, at least publisher Warner Bros. Interactive should be ready to respond.

Batman: Arkham City is available now for the Xbox 360 and PS3. It will be released on PC November 22 in North America, November 25 in Europe.

Did they make any mention as to WHY the PC version was delayed?

They shouldn’t delay it again for no reason.

please give free nightwing dlc for our wait

there was so much pirating of the first one that they were probably working on security workarounds and such to protect it. An outstanding title though and the graphics are insane on PC. I use a 360 controller with mine and its basically just feels like the next-next gen console haha!

Pretty sure I read that the PC delay was due to further tweaking for Nvidia’s PhysX engine. Can’t remember where I read it though.

There are more then enough games to keep us busy until then anywho. ; )

Yah, trust me I know. To be honest, when November 22 comes around and I get my copy of Arkham City, I probably won’t get a chance to play it anyhow. All of my spare time is lost to BF3 at the moment, lol.

I’m willing to bet, that the delay has to do with the save game/corrupt data bugs plaguing the console versions. Believe me, you don’t want the game launching with them.

Nvm. I found out that was just the UK version, and it was an issue with XBL/PSN.
