Have you downloaded and played EA and DICE’s Battlefield: Bad Company 2 demo? Are you having trouble understanding what’s happening, with all the bullets, vehicles, and helicopters flying around everywhere? Well you’re in luck, because producer Gordon Van Dyke would like fill you in on what’s going on all around the battlefield. The video details the multiplayer gametype “Rush,” gives a nice overview of the strengths of each player class, and talks about vehicles and tactics as well. Check it out below.
One major thing in the video that I’m glad he stressed was teamwork. I give this game props for really making all the classes feel necessary, and rewarding them all equally for fulfilling their roles in battle. The game’s scoring mechanic puts much more emphasis on working as a team, and not simply killing people, so you’ll find quickly that a high kill/death ratio doesn’t get you to the top of the score sheet.
