Assassins Creed Unity Opening Gameplay

When it comes to video game leaks, it seems like the Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty franchises are neck and neck in the battle over who has it worst. And coincidentally, both series are about to release their latest iterations in less than two weeks time.

For Call of Duty, the leaks have been fast and furious, with players detailing whole swaths of the Advanced Warfare's campaign and revealing the game's full multiplayer map list. It got so bad, in fact, that Sledgehammer Games' Co-Founder Glen Schofield took to Twitter to vent his frustrations.

Assassin's Creed, on the other hand, has fared surprisingly well since the existence of AC Unity was spoiled earlier this year. That should change rather quickly, though, as copies of the game are apparently now floating in the wild.

With that, we bring a very spoileriphic, and very short portion of the game's opening gameplay. But be warned, it does reveal what is sure to be one of the game's (presumably) many surprises.

If this is indeed part of a leaked copy of Assassin's Creed Unity, then eager fans should start to be wary when it comes to spoilers. For example, Ubisoft has said very little about the Present Day component for Unity, but chances are it won't be long before that is unofficially revealed.

The same is true for straight gameplay footage, which will give gamers a better idea of how the title runs on current-gen hardware. There were some concerns when Ubisoft revealed the game was locked at 900p/30, but some HD footage of the game could calm those fears.

On a similar note, if the PC version is floating about, we might be able to see just why the game requires such high specs. Obviously, Unity is a current-gen game, but few expected they would need to upgrade their video card so soon into the cycle.

The good news is those who want to experience the Assassin's Creed Unity story for themselves won't have long to wait, but they will also likely have to tread lightly online for a bit. Rest assured, though, we won't spoil any element of the game without explicit spoiler warnings.

What secrets do you think the Assassin's Creed Unity story will hold? How much do you want to know about the game ahead of time?

Assassin's Creed Unity releases November 11, 2014 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
