Sure, Ubisoft may have just released Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, but that doesn’t mean they’ve not started to look at the franchise’s future. When a spinoff is as well received as Brotherhood is, no time should be wasted in telling the story of Desmond Miles. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has already teased the next installment, and a leaked (and apparently very real) survey that made it’s way to the internet is adding even more fuel to the Assassin’s Creed 3 fire.
Ranters, how does a new assassin in a different time period sound? What about on and offline cooperative multiplayer modes? According to the survey below, those are just a couple of options being considered for the next chapter of Desmond’s tale. Read on to find out what other ideas Ubisoft is toying with.
Would you like to see ____ in the sequel to the ASSASSIN”S CREED: BROTHERHOOD?
1. An upgrade to the assassin’s blade that increases the fluidity and speed of free-running
2. An enhanced Eagle Vision: see the patrol paths of guards, spot clues to complex navigation puzzles, detect when characters are lying during interrogations, etc.
3. An intuitive crafting tool that lets you create custom bombs from dozens of ingredients found throughout the game world
4. Tactical use of a variety of bombs suited to unique contexts and situations (smoke, poison, flash, explosive, etc.)
5. An additional objective where you and your Assassins guild fight against the Templars to gain control of a city, district by district
6. Playing as a new Assassin, in a different historical time period
7. A continuation of Ezio’s story as the leader of the Assassins, set outside of Italy
8. Deeper connectivity between all the Assassin’s Creed projects (eg. an action you make on the Facebook game will impact your game experience on the console; events that you read about in the comics will be related to the storyline of the videogames, etc.)
9. Online Cooperative Mode
10. Offline Cooperative Mode
11. The availability of new maps for the Multiplayer
12. A choice of additional Multiplayer characters with new skill-sets
13. Playing new Multiplayer modes
14. A deeper team-based Multiplayer experience (guilds / squads that have common objectives, new tools for clan management, etc.)
15. A customization of the Multiplayer experience (logos, avatars, objects, team names, etc.)
After two epic stories in the life of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, I’d say it’s time for a new assassin to step out of the shadows and into the light. The virtual recreation of Rome was magnificent, but I’m ready for a new setting, as well. Furthermore, while Facebook games have the potential to offer some intriguing supplemental content, whatever Ubisoft will offer through the retail channel will always prove to be a lot more interesting. We’ve already offered our predictions as to what’s in store for the franchise, and a new assassin and story set in feudal Japan sounds too interesting to not play. Throw in some new multiplayer modes including cooperatively play, and I’d have my ideal Assassin’s Creed game.
What about you, Ranters? What do you want to see in Assassin’s Creed 3? Of the ideas in a survey, which one is most important to you and why? Which one is least important? Do you want a sequel to Project Legacy? Join the discussion in our comments section and share your thoughts with us!

They should continue with me, all the way to my retirement where i am old, that would be sweet, and YES CO-OP!!!!! PLEASE!!!
I really do not want to see a new assassin. The story was not set up for it. And etzios story left us with a cliff hanger. And besides assassins creed is only good within the Renaissance era. I cannot see assassins creed going anywhere else but continuing Etzio and Desmond. I do not think I would play the game if it left rome/Italy into a century in the future.
Although when I first got the game I really wanted to have co-op campaign mode where you and another player can rome around the world separately with your individual brotherhoods but would still help each other when you want to continue forward in the story.
Sorry I misspelled my own name….
Haha it’s okay Ezio, you’re too busy managing a brotherhood to worry about spellchecking
In all seriousness, I think Ezio is an awesome character and I love what Ubisoft has done with him. I’d even go as far as to argue he’s in the top 3 characters this generation, but after two AMAZING games, I want to see a new character from Ubi.
I think I’d like to see one more game featuring an assassin ancestor before what I envision as the last game in Desmond’s story, in which we get a 20+ hour game as nobody other than Desmond. Ubisoft has something great in their hands, and if they milk parts of it too much then it will sully the franchise. Nobody wants that.
Having a game all to myself seems selfish but I do believe some people would like that idea. And I’m not sure how I can have an ancestor in Feudal Japan, Lucy, Rebecca and Shaun don’t think that it’s a good idea. Anyway, I’m good with whatever they do… as long as they conclude my story in an awesome way.
Lucy’s alive?!
It was just an illusion by the apple to make me search the temples without Lucy dragging me down… read random theories online… there are lots.
I’d LOVE to play through the game co-op with a friend or friends.
I would like to see the game made during the American Revolution (even though there were no tall buildings in America then) maybe as an American spy in London. I think it would be fun to see when Desomnds ancestors crossed the pond.
keep ezio
I think Victorian London would be a cool setting
Please Ubisoft, hear our pleas!

Is their a choice for all the above. LOL. I have complete faith in Ubi for what they are planning for the next few games.
They need to GET OUT of the Renaissance period. I never liked it to begin with. When I found out AC2 was going to take place in that period I was kind of bummed. Since in all of history it’s the period that I find the most droning. But don’t get me wrong, AC2 and ACB are both fun great games.
I just feel they’re missing what the first one had. First one still is my favorite. I wish they did a spin-off ps3 game like that for Altaïr. Not disgrace him with chronicles and bloodlines. Either go back to the 3rd crusade era or most likely something else. Japan sounds nice, maybe even Egypt.
Also NO MORE FB GAMES. That game sucks and it’s a waste of time. What does it unlock? A couple of capes I never wear? I say screw the FB integration unless it unlocks something worthwhile. But for the most part I rather get it on uplay. It’s less hassle. I don’t want to sit in front of fb all day trying to get crap. I’d rather be playing the game on my ps3.
Offline Co.-op
Ans THE location in france or THE Netherlands or in London
