Electronic Arts has announced that a demo for Army of Two: The 40th Day will be available as a free download on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace on December 17, 2009 and it will include most of the first level from the actual game. In the demo, both Salem and Rios, the original Army of Two, find themselves trapped in Shanghai as it falls under attack. Gamers will be able to play the demo via online co-op or in split screen mode.
EA also promised exclusive access to the game’s new bonus multiplayer mode, ‘Extraction,’ at launch for those gamers who pre-order the new title. This mode will not be unlocked for other players until one month after the game ships. According to EA’s press release, Extraction requires a team of four players to fight a series of unique enemy waves as the players move from point to point in the ruined city.
For fans of the PSP, a demo will also be available for free on the PlayStation Network in North America on January 7, 2010 and in Europe on January 14, 2010.
While the original Army of Two had an interesting combat system and was a fun diversion, some felt that it did not live up to its lofty initial expectations. Here’s hoping the sequel fares better.
Army of Two: The 40th Day releases for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on January 12, 2010.

i dont mind the humor
i just want them to finish the game and stop lying about its features
more rpg elements plz
@echo what did they lie about before ?
Either way i think this game is going to rock… You get to yell at your friends (i told you left you butt-munch!!!), you get to one-up them ( oh i’m sorry, i didn’t know that with one hit to the face with that rocket would kill him…buhuhahahah), you celebrate victories with friends ( oh man that was all thanks to you letting me get more money so i could buy that rpg and said a rocket soaring to his face)and then you do it all over again in online mode but to others.
