‘PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale’ Invades TGS with New Trailer

There have been a number of noteworthy announcements to stem from this year’s Tokyo Game Show. Sony has been at the forefront of a majority of these revelations, and has had the most interesting showing so far without question. Their most prominent reveal came in the form of the Super Slim PlayStation 3, but they’ve provided gamers with a few other tasty morsels. What’s been odd though, is a lack of any sort of reveal for new PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale characters.

While the latest trailer for All-Stars Battle Royale doesn’t add to the the game’s roster, it does highlight the frantic combat between some of the previously confirmed combatants.

Despite a serious lack of character reveals in the new teaser, it did official confirm an adorable Loco Roco stage — albeit one fans have known about for some time. Gamers were tipped off to the level’s existence after the massive Battle Royale leak back in July, but now fans have a few more details about how the battleground will interact with those feuding on its cartoony soil. For starters, the stage is called ‘Franzea’, and it’ll crossover the worlds of Loco Roco and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

Other than the confirmation of a level many were already aware of, nothing new has come from Sony or TGS pertaining to new content that fans can expect to see in All-Stars. It’s widely suspected that SuperBot Entertainment has a few more tricks up its sleeve, such as the inclusion of Snake and possibly even Kat from Gravity Rush, but there’s been absolutely no word on any additional characters as of yet.

Many anxious fans are still hoping that they’ll be able to cross the names of a few more mascots off of their wish list, and (since the game’s still over two months away from launch) it’s entirely possible that they may get a chance to. Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon are still tragically missing from the Super Smash Bros-inspired beat ’em up, but that could change before the title’s release. In the meantime, stay tuned to Game Rant for more news regarding All-Stars Battle Royale.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will launch on November 21st, exclusively for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
