Following a November 30 incident involving a viral video of Twitch streamer Alinity and her dog, the Canadian streamer has revealed that numerous people and organizations have called for her to be banned from the streaming platform.
Though she hadn’t addressed the incident upon initial reaction, Alinity started her December 1 stream by addressing the commotion directly. “People think I should be banned for that,” she said to her viewers after watching the clip that went viral. “I think it’s so ridiculous … y’all have gone way too far.” The latest incident marks the latest in many controversies Alinity has been involved in throughout 2019.
The clip, which involves Alinity attempting to a headstand before her dog sneaks up behind her and starts poking around, isn’t the first time the streamer has been seen doing yoga poses on her stream. Alinity later added there are a “million clips out there” of her practicing yoga poses in front of her viewers, this was just the first time her dog attempted to join in on the excitement.

Alinity, who isn’t afraid to be honest and vulnerable with her fans, also shared that she spent the previous night being “very stoned” in her attempt to make sense of the outrage over the video clip. The streamer also expressed confusion over the outrage in saying, “Why can’t we just all chill and hug and love?” However, in the current social media era, it’s likely that she will continue to receive some backlash from the online gaming community for a little bit longer.
This isn’t the first time the Twitch streamer has been involved with controversy, as People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has called for Alinity to be banned from the streaming platform. Following a live stream in which she was seen throwing her cat, PETA issued a statement calling for her removal from Twitch after her cruel treatment of her pets.
Though it’s clear Alinity has a unique relationship with her pets, it would be safe to assume that the popular Twitch streamer may want to play it safe for the rest of the year and not involve herself in anymore controversy.
