Though Modern Warfare 2 started a growing wave of companies renouncing dedicated servers, Rebellion Developments CEO Jason Kinsley officially announced the feature in their upcoming game.
“Despite rumours, Rebellion has always been planning to support dedicated servers for Aliens vs Predator PC and we can now officially confirm that this is the case. Rebellion has always appreciated fan support. We’re really looking forward to the release of Aliens vs Predator as much as you guys are!”
Many had thought that Aliens vs Predator would not include dedicated servers, as senior Rebellion programmer David Brickley was pressed the question no less than three times, and would not give an answer either way – which usually leans towards the ‘no, but I can’t say it or my publisher will shoot me’ spectrum. Thankfully, this is not the case for Rebellion Developments.
