Alan Wake, the upcoming Psychological action thriller from Remedy Entertainment (Max Payne) is coming out in a few months and a new action trailer has finally been released.
The single-player game, which is formatted into an episodic television series, follows the protagonist, famous writer who’s not written anything in a few years. Writer’s Block? His wife takes him to a small town to help get his mind back in the game but of course, she disappears. Alan is living his latest work, something that he cannot remember but something he knows is his own work.
Check out the trailer after the jump.
Looks interesting but I think they could of showed some better “action” as opposed to just the lighting effects and slow-motion involved.
What do you think of the trailer?
Alan Wake is planned for release in May, 2010 on the Xbox 360 after being announced five years prior, but plans for a windows PC release have seized.

This is going to be a day one purchase for me – most likely.
That said, I’m with you Rob, Remedy Entertainment dubbing this trailer the “action trailer” is ludicrous.
The E3 2009 trailer got me interested, this one doesn’t really show anything…
good pt
we need more action in this
Weak Sauce. That ws nothing. If thats the “Action” that we are supposedly getting with this game, ill wait for the price drops. Show us something with a more than just flash lights and slow motion please. Thanks!
Boourns. 4 years and all they learned was how to rotate the camera.
Still looks pretty cool.
@Zac
Boourns! LMAO, I bet most people didn’t get that one, hahahaha. I freakin love the Simpsons… but their later seasons kind of sucked…
