2014 Canadian Videogame Awards

The 2014 finalists for the Canadian Videogame Awards were announced this week titles spanning 17 categories. The winners will be announced at the annual on November 21, 2014 at the Carlu in the heart of downtown Toronto. This if the first time the Canadian event is taking place in Toronto, since it traditionally takes place in Vancouver. With the move, the 2014 Canadian Videogame Awards will actually include the winners for games releasing in 2013 and 2014.

69 nominations for games released in 2014 were received from all parts of Canada, with ­­28 making the cut for the final nominations. All awards are for work developed in Canada. A body of Canadian industry experts will vote on the winners in each category but fans have a voice as well! Members of the general public can get involved by casting their vote for the Fans' Choice Award here. Voting will close November 17th.

As for the 2014 awards, Ubisoft reigns supreme in the nomination front with nine each for Child of Light and Watch Dogs.
