Half-Life 2: Episode 3

Arguably the most desired sequel of the bunch, fans have been patiently and eagerly awaiting even the slightest bit of news regarding the return of Gordon Freeman for Half-Life 2: Episode 3. In our chat with Valve writer Erik Wolpaw, we tried to squeeze for info on the next Half-Life but couldn’t get much.

With Valve launching Portal 2 soon and Team Fortress 2 still maintaining a strong community, don’t be surprised if Half-Life makes a surprise appearance at E3 2011. It should come before Left 4 Dead 3…

    If Gabe doesn’t come out with a lab coat and a crowbar, I’m storming the stage. Episode 3 or bust.

    Also, I’ve been sincerely missing the Ratchet and Jak series lately. I need more platformer console love from the big 3.

    Valve almost has to release some information about Half Life 3 this year, they certainly don’t want a Duke Nukem Forever fiasco on their hands.

    I think you mean Episode three, not half life 3.

      Nope. Could be either. There’s a lot of talk about the possibility of dropping the “episode” and going straight to an all out ‘Half-Life 3.’

    All this time they’re taking on Resident Evil 6 better mean they’re working on utilizing Dead Space-like mechanics, I.e., allowing you to move AND shoot…
    Here’s hoping we see the return of Leon!! If not, maybe we could finally find out what happened to the guy from Zero with the tats (Billy, was it?)… Maybe even Claire or Rebecca, but I think we’re getting enough of Chris and Jill from 5 and the new 3Ds game, could stand to take a break from them for awhile

      Move & Shoot coming with Operation Raccoon City. That’s the action-focused game. RE6 I’d expect to be more like RE4.
