There’s only 3 days until you can look forward to watching the VGAs and all of the exclusive first looks at previously unannounced games and trailers, but who is Spike going to have help guide you through this wonderful award ceremony? Apparently, nobody. Spike TV has said that at the moment they do not have plans for a host.
“As of right now, we are going without a host, similarly to what we did for this year’s Scream Awards.”
This year will have plenty of guest presenters though, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Kristen Bell, Felicia Day, Tony Hawk, Tricia Helfer, Alyssa Milano, Mike Tyson, Zachary Quinto, and Olivia Wilde. Rapper Snoop Dog is planned to perform at the awards also.

In the past 3 years, the annual event has seen 3 hosts: David Spade, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jack Black. So, it’s surprising and unusual to hear that Spike doesn’t plan on having a host for the 2009 VGAs, but I’m sure they know what they are doing.
